机材学院段兴凯博士领军的新能源材料课题组，最新有关热电能源材料的研究成果在美国的Thin Solid Films（缩写: TSF）期刊上发表：{Microstructure and thermoelectric properties of Sn-doped Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 thin films deposited by flash evaporation method. Thin Solid Films, 519 (2011) 3007-3010}. TSF期刊属SCI2区的TOP期刊，审稿非常严格，在行内有较高的认可度，该期刊近十年的影响因子一直在稳步增长。附TSF期刊英文简介：

此外， 课题组通过自主开发的真空封装设备合成的高纯度Sb2Te3热电材料的研究成果在国际学术期刊Vacuum上发表：{Synthesis of Sb2Te3 nanopowders by vacuum arc plasma evaporation. Vacuum，85 (2011) 1052-1054 }. 该项成果的获得充分体现了高校中“小装置，大作用”的科研特色之一。
当前，课题组正以国家自然科学基金项目为新的契机，继续秉承“团队协作，脚踏实地，埋头苦干”的科研精神，进一步提升我校科学研究水平。在学院领导的关心和支持下、在老师们和同学们的协作中，力争取得新的突破。
